The Ultimate Curve
Will 2008 be the year you decide to reshape that “final frontier” of your ideal silhouette – the buttocks?

More and more women are asking us how they can attain a well-defined, “bootylicious” appearance. Fortunately, medical science has come up with many solutions, and they’re as easy to implement as breast augmentation.

Exercise Won’t Do It
Just for the record, achieving well-rounded buttocks can’t be done with exercise alone. Your basic shape is determined by the shape of the butt muscle, the gluteus maximus; it can be toned, but the contour remains the same. For women who are “posteriorly challenged,” buttock augmentation is the only way to achieve a real transformation.

We Have Several Options
Several techniques can give you the silhouette you’ve always wanted, including fat grafting, liposuction, buttock-lifting surgery, and buttock implants. Dr. Lehocky is experienced in all aspects of buttock augmentation and reshaping, and he recommends implants as the surest, most accurate and long-lasting way to enhance the buttocks.

Buttock Implants
Buttock implants are similar to breast implants but firmer, just as the backside is firmer than the breast. They’re made in layers of a soft, solid silicone, tough enough to sit or step on without breaking or leaking (even if they’re cut with scissors, they don’t leak). These implants are FDA-approved and very safe.

They come in different sizes and shapes; some are rounder, some more oval. The size and shape can vary according to the degree of change you desire and your ethnic heritage. Dr. Lehocky can help you decide which implants are most proportionate to your basic shape.

There are also specially-designed implants that fit the proportions of the male body.

The Surgery
  • Implants are inserted under general anesthesia.
  • A three-inch incision will be hidden between the cheeks, to prevent visible scarring.
  • The implants are either placed within the gluteus muscle or on top of the muscle.
  • There is little bleeding with the procedure.
  • You can go home right after the surgery. You will need someone to drive you home.

The Recovery

  • Discomfort after the surgery is controlled with pain medicine taken by mouth.
  • You will need to wear a surgical garment for two to three weeks after the surgery.

A month after your surgery, you’ll be comfortable in your new silhouette and able to fill out pants and skirts in a different way than ever before.

Wow Them As You Walk Away
Will this be the year you stop feeling self-conscious about your “walking away” look? Why wait? Make an appointment to discuss buttock enhancement with Dr. Lehocky.

Here’s disturbing news: a 2007 report on lipsticks sold in the U.S. found one third of the tested lipsticks exceeding the FDA’s limit for lead in candy – a standard established to protect children from directly ingesting lead.

Among the top brands testing positive for lead were:

• L’Oreal Colour Riche “True Red” – 0.65 ppm
• L’Oreal Colour Riche “Classic Wine” – 0.58 ppm
• Cover Girl Incredifull Lipcolor “Maximum Red” – 0.56 ppm
• Christian Dior Addict “Positive Red” – 0.21 ppm

What about the FDA’s limit for lead in lipstick? There’s no such thing. The FDA exerts no control over the $50 billion personal care products industry.

Fortunately, the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is actively working to fill the gap. To find out what ingredients are being used in the beauty products you buy, check these helpful websites:
